What We Do

We work within schools, with out of school clubs, forest schools, cub scout groups, youth groups and a diverse range of community groups on projects such as:

Outdoor classrooms, Story Telling chairs, benches, herb beds, compost bins and recycled, reclaimed fencing.
Simple shelter and den building workshops
Traditional green woodworking, pole lathe turning and wood carving workshops for example making spoons, carvings and bows and arrows.
Teaching wilderness and bushcraft skills i.e. plant identification, wild foods, shelter building and fire safety.
Herbal medicine workshops, including interactive workshops on history of herbal medicine, practical pharmacy (i.e. making remedies) and larger outside projects i.e. Planting and designing medicinal/ culinary and sensory herb beds.

We are always happy to discuss individual projects and designs and the children can often be a part of this too. If your school needs an outdoor structure such as a bench, totem pole or shelter why not consider getting the children involved in making it too?

At times our services may be funded by outside agencies or grants and therefore we can offer fully funded workshops with no charge to participants.

Safety and education are our primary focus. For all our activities we provide risk assessments and session plans. We have up to date insurance and everyone involved in our workshops are fully CRB checked. Within each workshop we also ensure at least one of our workshops leaders has an up to date first aid certificate.
